Born and raised in Guangzhou, China, Freesia Tianyue Pi studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London and previous to Fashion Design at University of the Arts London. Freesia currently lives and works in London.
Freesia takes experimental practice on various materials and media to embody spatial and cross-cultural experiences through reconstructing personal reminiscences by stitching, knitting, painting, casting, hand-building, and installing to reveal the sensations and interactions which are unconscious. Her works condense the sensory experiences obtained from travelling, daily life and artistic research.
